Look, maybe a guy at the plastic bag manufacturer just lost his job because I am switching to recyclable bags. Maybe I should be doing this instead of that. Maybe I should be doing a whole lot more. What works for me may not work for you. We can argue all day about the finer points to all of this. I just think that what really matters is that we all try to do our part.

So, What is Attachment Parenting?
Although the term Attachment Parenting was coined by baby doc William Sears, my first exposure to the concept came in the form of an enthralling book called, “The Continuum Concept,” by Jean Liedloff, in which the author recounts her experience of spending several years with Stone Age indigenous people in South America, living with them and studying their parenting techniques.

The bottom line is, we need to use discretion and common sense when determining what is right for us and our family. Given the current scientific findings about mobile phones, we should use them in moderation until we positively know the health risks. And if we can’t limit the use of cell phones, there are several things we can do right now to mitigate the possible risks.

I especially love it when my wife goes away from Friday through Sunday one weekend a month for her duty in the Coast Guard Reserve. Three long days at the office, followed by four long days as a “geographically single Dad.” Try waking up at 5:15 am on Monday morning after that routine so that you can get an early start to your next three 12-hour days at work. Then throw in four rental properties that I manage, repairs around the house, bills, finances, family, a wife who is seven months pregnant (we’re having a boy this time), and everything else life has to offer and it’s an awful lot of balls to juggle.
